Grocery Delivery: Covey’s Response to COVID-19

Local non-profit, Covey, is responding to the Covid-19 Outbreak with a grocery delivery service for those in the Oshkosh and Appleton area. Covey will provide this grocery delivery service to those who cannot go out and purchase groceries on their own, with the goal of serving individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, those who are mentally ill, frail elders and their families.

Covey’s Grocery Delivery Service

Grocery delivery is one way that Covey is trying to do its part for the community in which it has been serving for over 6 decades. Covey’s C.E.O. had this to say about Covey’s Grocery Delivery Service, “We are just trying to do our part to help our community get through these hard times. We hope this is an effective way for our neighbors in Oshkosh to stay safe and flatten the curve”.

Under normal circumstances Covey empowers youth and adults to move toward greater independence through community events and independent living classes. They also provide relief and ongoing support for family caregivers through their 24/7 respite service.

The fees for this service are $20.00 if the client preorders and prepays, and $35.00 if Covey places the order and collects payment upon delivery. Financial assistance may be available, inquiries about qualifications should be directed towards brewolinski@covey.org. Grocery deliveries are made on Tuesdays and Fridays.

This grocery delivery service is available immediately and will run until Covey sees that it is no longer needed. To find out more information visit Covey’s Website Covey.org or email info@covey.org.
